About Us

The Larchmont Mamaroneck Eye Care Group has roots deep in our local communities. Our group was formed in 1980 when three long established practices from both Larchmont and Mamaroneck were combined. We have grown from a mostly local office to a practice that serves patients from communities all over Westchester as well as Rockland and Putnam counties, nearby Connecticut and New York City.

Our optometrists, Brian Fengel and Brian Rodrigues, and our ophthalmologist Albert Rosen, are committed to their patients and take pride in providing individualized care.

Brian Fengel O.D.

Dr. Brian Fengel received his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1985 from the SUNY College of Optometry where he graduated with honors.

He served for 14 years as a member of the college’s teaching faculty in the department of clinical science.

Now practicing full time at the Eye Care Group, he sees patients ranging in age from pediatric to adult. Exams can be scheduled for routine well-care visits including eyeglass and contact lens exams, or for the treatment and management of eye disease, including infections (pink eye), allergy and dry eye relief, and cataract or glaucoma.

Brian Rodrigues O.D.

Dr. Rodrigues joined the Eye Care Group in 2013. He received his Doctorate of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry.

He went on to complete the Irwin B. Suchoff Residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at SUNY Optometry. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Lehigh University.

Dr. Rodrigues provides adult and pediatric vision care, with a special interest in vision therapy and visual rehabilitation of acquired brain injury.

Albert Rosen M.D.

Dr. Albert Rosen graduated from Temple University Medical School in 1983. He did his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College and was Chief Resident of Ophthalmology at Westchester County Medical Center in 1987. He has continued to teach students in the ophthalmology clinic there and to assist them in surgery.

Dr. Rosen sees patients of all ages. He does routine eye care and also diagnoses and treats medical eye conditions such as eye infections,cataracts and glaucoma. He routinely performs laser and cataract surgery.
